ADDY - Homer Tindle Recipients

Homer Tindle began his career at KGBX in mid 1940s and was known throughout the community as the consummate media salesman. After several years at KGBX, he moved into television ad sales for KY3 for the first two years the station was in business. Homer's real passion, however, was radio and he soon returned to KGBX, where he worked until the late 1980s. He then joined KTXR for a brief stint before retiring in the early 1990s. Homer always put his best foot forward, wearing a suit, tie and hat when on sales calls. He was active in the Springfield Ad Club for many years and was respected for his qualities that endured until he died in his late 80s. Each year, the Ad Club recognizes the dependability that were valued in Homer Tindle.
